Free Parent Workshop

Quest for Success, a non-profit college preparatory organization, is presenting a free 90-minute workshop for parents of incoming freshman students on Saturday, March 31 at the Quest for Success headquarters at 2706 Horseshoe Drive South from 12:30 pm until 2 pm.

According to Susan Zumstein, executive director at Quest for Success, the workshop is designed to give parents specific tools to help their students succeed. “The path to college begins on the firsrt day of high school,” says Ms. Zumstein. Along with Ms. Zumstein and college advisor Denis Giradina will present a six-part workshop discussing important topics like:

• Transitioning from middle school to high school
• Essential student skills and behaviors
• Developing effective habits for success
• How toe encourage responsibility in your teen
• How to navigate the high school system
• What your child needs to be doing in 9th grade to be successful in 12th grade
